Breaking: English FA Slap Ronaldo With Fine And 2 Match Ban

Published

The English football association has fined former Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo £50,000 and handed him a two-match suspension.

The FA’s investigation into Ronaldo’s smashing of a fan’s phone at Goodison Park in April after Man United lost to Everton the previous season is finally complete, and Ronaldo has been given his sentence.

This news comes one day after it was revealed that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s contract with United was mutually ended as a result of his explosive Piers Morgan interview in which he spoke out against the club’s administration and manager Erik ten Hag.

Ronaldo said that the team has not changed since Sir Alex Ferguson left in 2013, adding that there has been zero progress. Additionally, he said that Ten Hag had no respect from him since the management did not.

Additionally, Man United’s owners, the Glazers, said on Tuesday night that they were selling the team and were open to offers.

If Ronaldo joins another Premier League team, he would be subject to a two-game suspension, according to The Mirror UK. The 37-year-old has been linked to moves to Chelsea and Newcastle.

Ronaldo is now in Qatar getting ready for Portugal’s World Cup opener on Thursday against Ghana.
