Breaking: Peter Obi Floors Atiku And Tinubu In Edo State

Peter Obi polled a total of 331,163 votes to win the state, according to Prof. Nyaudoh Ndaeyo, the vice chancellor of the University of Uyo in Akwa Ibom and the state collation officer for the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Bola Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress received 144,471 votes to place second, followed by Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party with 89,585, Rabiu Kwakwanso of the NNPP with 2,743, and the ZLP with 4082.

Despite 2,501,081 people being registered to vote, only 603, 894 voters in the state were accredited to cast ballots. Moreover, a total of 600 395 votes were cast, of which 581 266 were legitimate and 19,129 were rejected.

LP won the presidential election in 12 Local Government Areas of Igueben, Esan Central, Esan North-East, Egor, Esan South-East, Esan West, Uhunmwonde, Orhionmwon, Ovia South-West, Oredo, Ikpoba-Okha and Ovia North-East, while APC won in six LGAs of Owan West, Owan East, Akoko-Edo, Etsako Central, Etsako West and Etsako East.
