Chelsea Reached Agreement With Monaco For Star Defender

Published

Benoit Badiashile of Monaco is reportedly on Chelsea’s radar as they look to bolster their defense during the January transfer window.

As the Blues aim to add a new face to their roster, Graham Potter has been dealing with injury problems in his backline with the big-money summer recruit Wesley Fofana out injured for an extended spell.

When the transfer window reopens for business in the upcoming weeks, Potter may be forced to turn elsewhere for alternatives if the Stamford Bridge giants are unable to reach an agreement for their long-time target, RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol.

According to a story from The Athletic, Chelsea is reportedly keeping an eye on Monaco defensive star Badiashile, who is expected to sign a €35 million contract with the west London club.

In order to give Kalidou Koulibaly a fresh pair of legs when the Premier League returns, Chelsea has been searching for a new left-sided center-back ahead of the January transfer window.
