Chike Apologizes After He Was Dragged For Asking Igbos To Stop Being Primitive By Travelling To The East For Christmas

Following the outcry his tweet generated, Chike shared a rejoinder in which he stated that his tweet was misunderstood.

Nigerian artiste, Chike has apologized to Nigerians after he was dragged for telling Igbos not to travel to the East for Christmas.

The singer had shared a tweet in which he described such trips as a primitive behaviour. Chike added that roads are usually busy at that time and those making such journeys should pick another time.

Following the outcry his tweet generated, Chike shared a rejoinder in which he stated it was an emotional one and that he was misunderstood. He further disclosed that he lost two friends who were making a return trip from the village.

The singer tweeted;

“I believe my now-deleted tweet was misunderstood as it was an emotional one . This morning, 2 friends died on their road trip back from the village . I think the roads are too risky for everyone to be headed home & back. If you have been hurt, I sincerely apologize.”
