Governor Zulum Visits NYSC Camp, Gifts Rice 100 Bags, Beans 10 Bags, 10 Cows, Each Corper ₦30k

Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, embarked on a significant visit to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp in Maiduguri.

The camp which was reopened after a 13-year hiatus was marked by Governor Zulum’s announcement of substantial palliative support for the 1,215 youth corps members who have been deployed to the state for their national service.

The Governor’s visit to the NYSC orientation camp symbolized not only the revival of an the youth service in the state but also the rekindling of hope for the corps members.

During his visit, Governor Zulum demonstrated his commitment to the welfare of the corps members by announcing a remarkable donation of N36.4 million in palliatives.

This financial assistance is intended to provide relief and support to the youth corps members during their stay in the camp.

Additionally, the governor allocated essential food items, including 100 bags of rice, 10 cows, 10 bags of 100 kg of beans, and 10 gallons of cooking oil, ensuring the corps members have nourishing meals throughout their three-week orientation period.

We want to extend palliatives to members of the National Youth Service Corps. Each one of you will receive the sum of N30,000, that amount will be credited to your accounts as soon as your bank details are provided to me”, Zulum said.

He added: “In addition to that, we have provided you with 100 bags of rice, 10 bags of 100kg beans, 10 gallons of cooking oil and 10 bulls.”

“I want you to be dedicated and loyal to constituted authorities. Make friends in this part of the country so that together we can build a prosperous Nigeria with sustainable economic growth and development”, Governor Zulum urged.
