Ifeanyi: Atiku And Osun PDP Suspends Political Activities Over Davido’s Son Death

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has expressed sorrow over the passing of Ifeanyi Adeleke, David Adeleke’s (Davido) son.

To express sympathy to the Adeleke family, the PDP chapter in Osun state likewise halted its political operations there.

According to reports, Davido, who is Ademola Adeleke’s cousin and the incoming governor of Osun State, lost his son after he drowned in a pool in Lagos State.

Dr. Adekunle Akindele, the interim PDP chairman for Osun, expressed regret over the occurrence in a statement and prayed with the family for God to comfort them.

“Following the passing of Ifeanyi, all party activities are hereby paused to express our condolences to the family of Adeleke,” he said.

“We mourn the sorrowful exit of our son, Ifeanyi. We pray for the repose of his soul. It is a sad day but we remain steadfast in our faith in the Lord of the Universe.

“Our condolence goes to Davido, our youth ambassador. We commiserate with our father figure, Dr Deji Adeleke and the entire Adeleke family. We pray the good Lord grant the family the strength to bear this irreparable loss,” the added.
