JUST IN: Labour Party Factional Chairman Booed Out Of Court

Published

Lamidi Apapa, the leader of the Labour Party section, was jeered outside Abuja’s Appeal Court on Wednesday. This was where the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal was being held.

As Apapa’s supporters escorted him away from them, the opposing LP section outside the court yelled, “Ole,” which is loosely translated as “a thief,” “Imposter,” etc.

The party factions were fighting and attempting to attack Apapa, who the police had walled.

The drama took place soon after journalists attempting to interview Apapa in the LP leadership issue encountered resistance from the opposing faction.

Before the court resumed hearings at the tribunal, there was reportedly a dispute between two groups of the party.
