Medical Trip: Buhari Violated The Constitution For Not Transferring Power To Osinbajo

Published

Elder statesman Edwin Clark claimed on Tuesday that President Muhammadu Buhari had violated the 1999 Constitution by failing to give Vice President Yemi Osinbajo the presidency.

The head of the Pan Niger Delta Forum declared during a press conference in Abuja that any measures made by any of the President’s officials in the upcoming two weeks are illegitimate, invalid, and unconstitutional.

He advised Nigerians to oppose any proxies that were not recognized by the constitution.

He claimed that even while in Nigeria, the President was unable to successfully run the nation, and it is incomprehensible how he will be able to do so while traveling for two weeks.

Although Buhari sent condolence messages to the governments of South Korea and India following recent disasters, according to Clark, he didn’t think it was appropriate for him to travel to any of the more than 20 flood-ravaged areas in the nation despite the death toll exceeding 600.

The President left the country on Monday for a “regular medical check-up” in London, the United Kingdom. He will return in the second week of November 2022.

The President will visit London for a medical examination once again in 2022. In March and July, Buhari traveled to the UK for medical reasons.
