Nigeria Police Arrests A 20-Year-Old Traffic Robber And Recovers Samsung Galaxy Z Flip
On Monday, March 13, 2023, officers from the Ijora/Badia division of the Lagos State Police Command detained 20-year-old Damilare Akinwunmi “m,” a member of a gang known for robbing motorists of their possessions in the Pallet area of Ijora-Badia, Lagos.
When the victim he had just stolen a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip from swiftly reported the incident to the local police station in Ijora Badia, the suspect’s luck ran out.
The suspect was swiftly located by investigators from the division at his hiding place in Monkey Village, where he was detained and the phone was found.
Damilare, who confessed to having robbed at the same spot several times, is currently assisting the police in an ongoing investigation towards arresting other members of the gang. Suspect(s) will be arraigned at the conclusion of investigations.
The spokesperson of the state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the arrest, said the state Commissioner of Police, CP Idowu Owohunwa, has assured residents of Lagos State that efforts are being redoubled towards eradicating all forms of criminality in the state.
