Nigerian Drug Dealer Arrested With Cocaine Worth N10m In India

Mr. Ojengwa Emmanuel Osondu, a suspected drug dealer from Nigeria, was detained by Indian police, and 5 grams of cocaine worth Rs. 60,000 (about N10 million) were taken from his hands.

On January 24, 2023, Osondu, 34, a resident of Mumbai, was detained by agents from the Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing and the Bahadurpura police as he was dealing cocaine to Level Arjun, a local drug dealer.

According to the police, Mr. Ojengwa Emmanuel Osondu, a native of Enugu state, entered India in 2016 on a student visa and has since lived in Mumbai.

In an NDPS Act case, the Goregaon police had earlier detained him in December 2020.

Besides the contraband, the police seized his mobile phone. They are in the
process of identifying Arjun and other peddlers and consumers, a press
release issued by H-New DCP Gummi Chakravarthy stated.
