Police arrest five suspected armed robbers, kidnappers in Delta

The Delta State Police Command Special Anti-Cult Unit, SACU Operatives have arrested five suspected armed robbers and kidnappers in Sapele, Sapele Local Government Area.

The suspects includes, Nelson Ofurhie, 40 years,Efe Adams, 32 years, Williams Onufuevue 46 years, Enajite Itiefie, 37 years and Oghenero Eruteta, 37 years.

They were arrested during a raid of criminal hideout at Ogorode Sapele.

The Police also recovered one AK 47 rifle with breech no. KT1921, one locally fabricated AK47 rifle, two (2) pump action gun, two (2) locally made single barrel gun, forty-seven rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition, some quantity of hard drugs, one ash color Mercedes Benz Jeep reg. No. AFZ 735 HW, one white color Lexus Jeep with reg. No. KUJ 983 NW and one (1) ash color corolla car with Reg. No. SAP 911 MX.

The Delta State Police Command led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali confirmed the report in a statement signed by the Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.

According to DSP Edafe “Case is under investigation.”
