Reactions As A Masquerade Is Spotted Casting Vote In Lagos

In full costume, a Yoruba god known as “Ara Orun” (People of Heaven) was photographed casting his ballot at a polling place in Lagos state.

The mask was given instructions on how to thumbprint on the ballot at a polling place.

Ara Orun were thought to be inferior African gods and goddesses with superpowers who descended directly from Heaven.

A photograph of the Yoruba god in human form casting his vote has stirred different reactions.

In other news, popular Nigerian disc jockey and activist, Obianuju Catherine Udeh, professionally known as DJ Switch, has averred that most Nigerian politicians are devilish.

In a series of tweets shared online, DJ Switch asserted that the ritualists people hear about are actually the politicians who kill people directly or through thuggery to gain and retain power.

According to her, it is wickedness for politicians to use public funds to provide the best quality of life for their families and send their children to school abroad while ignoring the needs and sufferings of the masses.
