Real Madrid Going All Out In January For Victor Osimhen

Published

Rafael Leao of AC Milan and Victor Osimhen of Napoli are two players that Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti allegedly begged Florentino Perez to do everything possible to sign in January.

After failing to sign Kylian Mbappe this summer, Ancelotti returned to the Bernabeu last year with plans to strengthen his assault.

According to the Spanish news agency Sport, Ancelotti is now forced to name Leao and Osimhen as priority purchases in the winter transfer window due to Karim Benzema’s current injury troubles.

The greatest teams in Europe are vying for Leao, who has emerged at AC Milan as one of the most sought-after players in the continent. Chelsea and Manchester City are among those interested in signing the Portuguese sensation.

Leao, who was voted the 2021–22 Serie A MVP, has excelled once more this season, tallying six goals and nine assists in just 17 games throughout the Serie A and Champions League.

To stay at the San Siro, Leao is reportedly requesting club-record salary of £170,000 per week, which might allow clubs like Real to take advantage of the situation in the coming months.

Leao has been shining for AC Milan in the Serie A, but Ancelotti is also considering making a double move for Osimhen.

The Nigerian striker has been on top form for Napoli, having scored nine goals in 13 games in all competitions to send Luciano Spalletti to the top of Serie A, where they are on a 14-game unbeaten streak.
