The Owners Of The Club Are To Blame – Graham Potter

Published

Graham Potter, the manager of Chelsea, will have to work hard to keep his job despite the west London team’s stellar recent run of results. The Blues have just two victories in 15 games, placing them in the middle of the table and pointing them in the direction of a season that may fizzle out in the last few months.

The most recent loss occurred this past weekend against London rivals Tottenham, who gained control of the game thanks to long-range goals from Oliver Skipp and Harry Kane and a composed finish from a corner.
It has only fueled supporters’ growing discontent with the present management team.

Potter acknowledges his difficult predicament, but he says that his attention is on the upcoming match against Leeds, explaining:

“I can’t necessarily think too much 40,000 or 50,000 people. I need to focus on what I can control, which is the next day and the next training session.”

“Our supporters have been very fair and I have supported the team. I’ve no complaints with the supporters.”

“They are entitled to be frustrated, upset and angry with the results we’ve got and that is my responsibility. So I have no complaints with the supporters.”
