“Waking Up To Cook Sari Is Not Easy” — Mercy Aigbe Laments The Stress In Fasting In Ramadan

Mercy Aigbe, a well-known Nollywood actress, has resorted to social media to lament the difficulties brought on by the ongoing Ramadan fast.

The actress, who was a Christian before being married to Kazim Adeoti, a Muslim director, acknowledged that it has been challenging for her to get up early to prepare Sari.

Mercy, a mother of two, adds that while fasting has been pretty simple, waking up early in the morning to prepare food has been difficult.

[Sari is the food eaten early in the morning by Muslims before fasting. It’s usually consumed before dawn]

She also posted a photo of herself dozing off while dressed in an Islamic outfit, and revealed that her husband took the photo in her most vulnerable moment. She playfully tackled her husband and said they have a score to settle.

The 45-year-old movie star wrote,

“So all of you saying my hubby is calm, he is calm, can y’all see what he did to me this early morning

Waking up for Sari is not easy!!! I am coping very well with fasting but you see that waking up to cook & chop early momo, is a struggle Sleep just won’t leave me alone!

May almighty Allah accept all our sacrifices as an act of ibadah, forgive all our sins, answer all our prayers, continue to bless us and reward us with good deeds
