Abia State University Demands “Pandemic Prevention Fee” From Students.

Abia State University (ABSU), is reportedly mandating a 15,000 “pandemic prevention fee” from students as they return for the completion of their 2019/2020 academic session

In a memo signed by the institution’s registrar, Acho Elendu, which has since been in circulation online, all payments have been directed to be paid through the school’s online payment system before the commencement of examinations.

The memo read

“All returning students are to pay a pandemic prevention fee of fifteen thousand (N15,000) Naira only.” it read.

They went further to say that they have to show evidence of payment before entry into the university campuses, and the general public is to take note.
