Auxiliary Denies Involvement In Iwo Road Mayhem, Fingers PDP Chieftain

The Chairman of Park Managers System in Oyo State, Mukaila Lamidi, popularly known as Auxiliary, has said he was not responsible for the mayhem that happened in Iwo Road area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Wednesday.

Speaking on Situation Room, a live programme on Ibadan-based radio station, Fresh 105.9FM, on Thursday, Auxiliary claimed that the “boys” of a Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) chieftain, Alh. Bisi Olopoeyan, were responsible for the attack.

He said: “A person that is eating doesn’t fight. They’ve already finished fighting before I got there but what  they told me was that they were passing vehicles so there would not be traffic. They said the man wanted to park on the road and he was already causing hold up, they asked him to leave the place. When they asked him to leave, boys from the complex came out and said he is their boss. But there are some boys at the back of the complex where they sell phones at Iwo Road, they belong to secret cults known as ‘aye and ake.’

“They were responsible for the #EndSARS protests at Iwo Road last year. Those aye boys at the house of Bisi Olopoeyan are the ones that attacked them. It wasn’t the phone sellers that fought, it was the cult members at the house of Alhaji Bisi Olopoeyan that opened fire. They even engaged the soldiers last night. They are behind the complex and we’ve told government to go and send them away…my boys aren’t responsible for the mayhem.”

When asked if he has seen the video circulating online and what transpired in the video, Auxiliary said: “If they put videos on social media, did anybody see me the videos being circulated. I was not there during the incidents that happened in the videos. They have finished fighting when I got there. I met Operation Burst, Amotekun and Police there. I saw that Police have taken over, it doesn’t concern me again, so I entered my car and left the place. I went there alone, nobody followed me.”
