Benson Idahosa University’s Final Year Student Dies Due To Alleged Negligence Of The School (Video)

Published

Bruno Chigozie Ezeonye, a final-year student at Benson Idahosa University (BIU), died as a result of what is said to be school administration neglect.

On Tuesday, May 23, the student studying computer science—who is allegedly the only son of his parents—slumped while playing football on the school field and had to be taken immediately to the clinic.

According to reports, the under-equipped facility where the deceased was allegedly left unattended for hours.

His classmates apparently tried to transport him to the closest hospital to be treated, but they were unsuccessful since the ambulance, according to reports, was without gasoline.

Once they had fuel, the security of the school would not let them go until they had made a formal exit request.

Due to the delay, Chigozie, who was only 21-years-old, gave up the ghost on Tuesday. His mother reportedly collapsed after receiving news of his death.

Following his death, students at the school staged a protest, and reportedly vandalized the school clinic and security post.
