Chelsea Defender Reach Verbal Agreement With Spanish Giant

Despite the fact that Rudiger is a regular in Thomas Tuchel’s team, the unrealistic demands from the 29 year old German when negotiating a renewal deal at Chelsea have meant that he will be putting an end to his spell at the London club this summer, after his current contract expires.

Thomas Tuchel confirmed this in his comments to ‘Sky Sports’: “We gave everything – me and the club – but we could not fight anymore. Without the sanctions we would at least be able to carry on fighting, but our hands are tied. We don’t take it personally. It is his decision”.

The ex Roma player overlooked the option of playing another season at Stamford Bridge and decided to move on to the Santiago Bernabeu. This is has been confirmed by transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.

“Real Madrid have reached verbal agreement with Antonio Rüdiger. Contract not signed yet – but Real Madrid are now closing on Rüdiger deal on a free. It’s gonna be a long-term deal. Final details to be discussed soon, before signing the contract”.

His demands are high as it was revealed that he rejected a record salary offer in excess of 12 million euro from chelsea.

However, a few more details are still to be discussed before Rudiger officially signs for Real. But, if his demands are not excessive, he will be a ‘Merengue’ this summer.
