Davido and Wizkid Observe “BLACKOUT TUESDAY” To Mourn George Floyd’s Death

Nigerian afrobeat superstar, Wizkid has joined hands with celebrities worldwide to observe “BLACKOUT TUESDAY” today as they mourn and protest against George Floyd’s death.

The aim of the ‘Blackout Tuesday is to get employees and entertainers to disconnect from work and music business to reconnect with the community through an urgent step of action to provoke accountability and change, the project’s organiser of the movement said.

Wizkid comes as one of the African celebrities to support the movement by sharing a black image on his instagram page. His compatriot, Davido has also joined with a black image on his instagram handle.

Several other musicians and reord labels such as Ludacris, Cardi B, Sony Music, Atlantic Records, Capitol Music Group, Warner Records, Columbia Records and Def Jam are among other labels are participating in the movement.
