Election: “No Nigerian Should Ever Cry About Racism” – Actress, Etinosa Idemudia Reacts

Published

Etinosa Idemudia, a Nollywood actress, has responded to the tribal intimidation and bias that took place in Nigeria during the 2023 presidential and governorship elections.

It is no secret that there were several instances of electoral violence, thuggery, tribalism, and rigging in various states during the recently concluded election in Nigeria.

The majority of Igbos in Lagos state were refused the opportunity to cast a ballot and were turned away by thugs who entered several polling places during the gubernatorial and state assembly elections last Saturday.

Several videos which made rounds online showed thugs parading the streets and warning Igbos and others who planned not to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) to stay at home for their own safety.

Reacting to the rather heartbreaking event, Etinosa, in an Instastory post, related the issue of tribalism to racism experienced by blacks outside the country.

The mother of one stated that no Nigerian should ever complain about suffering racism abroad because they are no different from racist folks.

She wrote:

“After all I have witnessed in this country, No Nigerian should ever cry about racism cos y’all … Nah. Y’all are the real MVPs. Keep it up”
