EXCLUSIVE!!! Ikoyi Building Collapse: One Of The Construction Company Pulled Out From The Project Before The Collapse… Because They Were Using Substandard Materials [See Their Letter]

Published

A 21-story building situated at Ikoyi collapsed today as a result of the use of substandard building materials by Forescore Heights Limited even after they were warned by their structural consultancy service provider, Prowess Engineering Limited.

In a formal letter, for the resolution of a partnership between the two companies the Managing director for Prowess Engineering Limited, Mr. Muritala Olawale had stated that the reason for
the withdrawal and imminent termination of their consultancy were a result of the use of substandard and unfit building materials in most parts of the building, they hadn’t seen and approved of.

More so, they had made it known that the collapsed building didn’t go through their specifications as they didn’t have a concrete cube test result for each stage of the collapsed building until the day they had sent the letter and it was dated on 20th February 2020.

Furthermore, they made it known that they were not going to take up any mishap and errors that may happen to the building over time and humbly asked that their name and location and a trace of the business partnership be cleared from the business project board and notified all necessary approving authorities.

Hence, The managing director at Fore-score Heights Limited, Mr. Femi Osinoba very much knew about the inferiority in the building but had overridden all red flags and warnings, putting the lives of people at high risk deliberately.
