Ghana Extends Coronavirus Lockdown By One Week

The Ghanaian government have extended the lockdown in some cities in the country by a week.

According to a statement posted on the country’s Ministry of Information’s Twitter handle, the ban on public gatherings has been extended by two weeks while restriction of movement in Accra, Tema, Kumasi nd Kasoa, very popular cities in the country, has been extended by one week.

The lockdown was effected on March 30th as part of measures to curb the spread of Coronavirus. Ghana currently has 566 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, four recoveries and eight death.
