Gunmen kidnap Youth President, steal motorcycles in Anambra LGA secretariat

Gunmen have reportedly abducted the youth president in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Eyewitness told Daily Trust that the gunmen also invaded the local government secretariat and carted away motorcycles worth millions of naira, meant for empowerment.

President of Okija Youth Development Forum, Comrade Ononuju Maxwell Chigozie who confirmed the incident, said the motorcycles were kept for the constituents of Ihiala Local Government Area by Hon. Chuddy Ifeanyi Momah for distributions.

Chigozie disclosed that the federal legislator was waiting for the right time to distribute the motorcycles to his constituents for empowerment before the incident happened.

He said;

“The fact is that this ugly incident took place in the middle of the night during which our youth president was also kidnapped and forced to show them where the said motorcycles were kept and they carted away the motorcycles worth about N50 million. This is atrocious and ungodly.”
