Hushpuppi’s Lawyer, Gal Pissetzky Called His Client Arrest as an Act of Kidnapping

Published

Gal Pissetzky, Lawyer for the embattled Instagram big boy, Ramon Abass is widely known as Hushpuppi has described the extradition of his client from the United Arab Emirates to the United State Of America as ‘kidnapping’.

He said this when he was engaged in an extensive chat with the BBC about his client. Pissetzky’s argument was that the FBI had no right to pick up his client from Dubai to America and moreover, there were no court documents or legal papers to prove that he should be taken to America.

To him, if he was supposed to be expelled from Dubai, Nigeria should have been his destination and not America.

“In my opinion, the FBI and the government here acted illegally when they kidnapped him from Dubai without any legal process to do so.
There was no extradition, there were no legal steps taken, there were no court documents filed, it was simply a call to the FBI.

He is not a citizen of the United States, the US had absolutely no authority to take him. If Dubai wanted to expel him, they should have expelled him back to Nigeria. I’ve never heard of anything like that. That is the real story here.”

He added that Hushpuppi is a legitimate businessman who had lots of love from the people.

He is a social media influencer with millions of followers, with millions of people that respect and loved him, and he loved them, and that’s what he did. In today’s society, that’s a business,”
