According to The News Agency of Nigeria, since the song’s release in May 2022, “Buga” has gained popularity among both younger and older age groups. Nigerians have ranked it as the top song on their internet searches for this year.

The well-known afrobeat icon used his Instagram page to commemorate the noteworthy accomplishment and thank his fans for their unwavering support.

The 28-year-old singer claims that by HIS GRACE, many more YouTube views will follow this one, which marks his first 100 million views.

“Celebrate your success, no matter the matter it attracts more than 100 million views in five months. Thank you l am grateful.

The singer had earlier stated that ‘Buga’ meant to ‘Show Off’, adding that in this context the meaning of ‘Buga’ is to honour hard effort, devotion, and accomplishment, but not extolling arrogance and ingratitude.
