Prominent Lagos figure, Farida Sobowale, was stopped from a suicide attempt on the renowned Third Mainland Bridge last Thursday evening.

Farida is the proprietor of the House of Phreedah skincare establishment located in Surulere, Lagos.

A video reviewed by the Nation depicts her being restrained by individuals who prevented her from leaping into the Lagoon.

It’s reported that Farida, dressed in black, parked her Lexus SUV on the Third Mainland Bridge, exited her vehicle, and was about to leap when bystanders intervened.

About two months ago, Sobowale made headlines with her grand wedding ceremony in Lagos with her husband, Demola.

Recent whispers suggest marital troubles, which might have impacted her mental well-being.

Allegedly, Demola vacated their shared home and reverted to a relationship with a woman he was involved with pre-marriage.

He reportedly lashed out at Farida, comparing her appearance to an elderly woman of 80, insinuating marital dissatisfaction.
