LASU Sets Date For Resumption Amid of Coronavirus

The Lagos State University, LASU, has announced that its first-year students will return to classes by January 11, 2021.

According to the resumption schedule of the institution released on Friday, which stated: “until the presumed date for resumption, students will take classes online.”

The institution has stated that “ students in terminal classes (400, 500 and 600-Levels) are to resume on Monday, September 14, 2020 and classes would commence from 9 am to 3 pm on weekdays only.”

The institution also added that “ the Masters and Ph.D. students will as well resume classes on Monday, September 14,2020 and are to have their classes on weekends only.”

“Students from 200-Level to 500-Level are to resume November 9, 2020.”

“Students of Sandwich, Part-Time and diploma would resume on November 13, 2020 for weekend classes only at the institution’s Epe campus.”

The institution has warned that “Students and lecturers must mandatorily have their face masks on and would be required to wear their LASU I.D Cards otherwise they would not be allowed into the campus.”

The institution has also reiterated the importance of both students and Lectures coming along with their hand sanitizers.

The school schedule stated that “all academic members of staff are to resume with students on Monday while only non-academic workers from CONUAS Level 12 and above (except those on essential duties are expected on campus).”

“The lecturers are to enforce mask wearing on students and good ventilation in their classrooms.”

“Recreational and commercial activities on campus will also be limited.” it added.
