Luka Modric Extends His Real Madrid Contract For 1 Year

Published

Real Madrid midfielder Luca Modric has agreed to extend his contract with the club until June 30, 2022.

The agreement had been agreed on three months before the end of the season but the club were waiting until the end of the season to announce it publicly.

Modric has signed a one-year extension, conforming to the club’s policy of only offering players over 30 one-year deals.

Playing 48 games in all competitions during 2020/21, Modric was one of Los Blancos’ most important players, accumulating 3,721 minutes.

“Happy and proud to continue wearing the shirt of the best club in the world,” Modric said in a post on social media.

Now, the Croatian hopes to play at the renovated Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and to finish his career at Real Madrid.
