Nigerian Dies Hours Before Planned Flight To UK For Master Degree

Okpani Ugochukwu, a Nigerian man, died just hours before he was scheduled to leave for the UK to pursue his Master’s degree.

According to reports, Okpani passed away on May 19 in his sleep, only hours before takeoff for the UK. His friends have expressed their sorrow at his tragic passing on social media.

He reportedly received a scholarship to Wolverhampton University’s Master’s program and was scheduled to depart Nigeria on Friday.

On Thursday night, he also announced on his personal Facebook page that he would be going abroad for his Masters program.

Sadly, he slept and did not wake up on Friday morning. Friends have trooped to social media to mourn his sudden demise.

In other news, the Lagos State Police Command has arrested one Amos Olalere, a 29-year-old suspected internet fraudster popularly known as “Yahoo Boy,” for allegedly killing his sister for ritual purposes.

The suspect was apprehended by detectives of the Lagos State Police Command during a stop-and-search operation along Itamaga, Ikorodu Road, in Lagos State, while on his way to dispose of his sister’s corpse into the river as instructed by the native doctor his mother contacted on his behalf.
