Nigerian Doctor Explains Why Doctors Are Embarking On Strike Despite Coronavirus Pandemic

Resident doctors in Abuja today announced they were embarking on an indefinite strike over unpaid salaries. Nigerians described the doctors as ”insenstitive” for embarking on a strike action in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.

A Nigerian doctor @Okizle has explained why doctors can go on a strike at a time like this. He said doctors in Nigeria are not adequately paid to treat patients and that the hazard allowance for medical doctors in Nigeria is N5, 000. Read his tweets below
