Nollywood actress and vocal critic of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Iyabo Ojo, has made an impassioned plea for justice in the wake of the controversial passing of the late singer, Mohbad.
She has gone as far as pledging her support and belief in the ruling party if they can ensure justice is served in the case of Mohbad’s untimely demise.
The tragic death of the young singer, Mohbad, at the age of 27 has left many in shock and fueled speculations and grief across the nation.
Responding to the public outcry and the uncertainties surrounding his passing, the police issued a statement on Thursday, as conveyed by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, promising to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.
Taking to her Instagram page on Saturday, Iyabo Ojo expressed her deep sadness upon learning about the details of Mohbad’s life and his final moments.
She revealed that the information she had gathered brought tears to her eyes, particularly the part where Mohbad cried out for help, yet no one seemed to hear him.
In her heartfelt post, Iyabo Ojo called for justice in the case of Mohbad’s passing, declaring that it should be a matter of concern for everyone.
“Honestly, I will believe and support APC if Mohbad can get justice. That boy’s soul is crying for justice.
“Autopsy needed. Investigation is seriously needed. Every day I read something about him, I shed tears. No, he cried out, and no one listened to him.
“How? Nooooo, it’s not my business should be cancelled at this moment, it’s everybody’s business.
“His soul needs to rest. #justiceformohbad.”
