OFFICIAL: Manchester City Win Appeal Against Two-Year Champions League Ban

Manchester City’s appeal against their two-year UEFA ban has been succesful and they will play in Europe next season. however, the club have been fined 10m euros.

City were handed the suspension by UEFA’s club financial control body back in february for serious breaches of club licensing and financial fair play regulations.

The premier league giant intensely denied any wrongdoing and filed an appeal at CAS against the decision last month, after previously tagging the UEFA disciplinary process as ‘prejudicial’.

After hearing the evidence over the course of three days in june, Court of arbitration (CAS) have now now overturned the suspension – meaning City are free to compete in the Champions League come next season.
