Ogun State Policemen Arrest Benin National For Abduction

On February 20th, two suspected kidnappers were captured by members of the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) as they attempted to flee with a female kidnap victim who was underage.

The agency stated in a press release that the Special Patrol team of the agency suspected the movement of the suspects, Moye Kazeem, 25, and Moye Kokuyi, 20, while on a routine patrol in the border area under the direction of Idiroko Divisional Officer CSC Abdulkareem Abdulrazaq. The press release was issued by the Office of the State Commander of the agency, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo.

The agency stated in a press release that the Special Patrol team of the agency suspected the movement of the suspects, Moye Kazeem, 25, and Moye Kokuyi, 20, while on a routine patrol in the border area under the direction of Idiroko Divisional Officer CSC Abdulkareem Abdulrazaq. ‘’The female abductee Okechukwu Felicia 16 years old, a resident of Ajuwon Akute in Ifo Local Government Area who was interrogated as well could not establish what was really going on and the true position of the suspects.”the statement read

Ganzallo said that during the preliminary investigation of the matter, it was gathered that the suspects had been declared wanted for the same offense they were arrested for at Akute Ajuwon Divisional Police Headquarter. He added that the suspects were apprehended at Iyana-Ago trying to cross to the Republic of Benin.

Ganzallo noted that the suspects and the victim together with a Bajaj motorcycle were handed over to the Nigeria Police  Ajuwon Divisional Headquarters through Inspectors Sunday Abah and Sami Loris who came to pick them for further investigation and likely prosecution.
