Popular Nigerian singer Naira Marley, whose real name is Azeez Fashola, along with show promoter Sam Larry, have been freed from detention by the Lagos State Police Command.

The duo regained their freedom after fulfilling the conditions for their release. Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, confirmed their release.

Earlier, on November 6, a Magistrate’s Court in Yaba, Lagos State, granted bail to Naira Marley and Sam Larry. The bail was set at N20 million, requiring three sureties.

Their arrest stemmed from allegations related to the circumstances surrounding the passing of a renowned singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, leading to their remand on October 6.

Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun instructed the defendants to surrender their passports and ordered them to report weekly to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti.

Hundeyin officially confirmed their release by stating, “Naira Marley and Sammy Larry have met the bail conditions and have been released.
