President Tinubu Proposes Return Of Subsidy On Petrol Temporarily

Presidency sources have relayed that there is a proposal on the table to temporarily subsidize petroleum prices across the nation.

Sources relayed that president Bola Tinubu is considering the temporary subsidy to ease the harsh realities that Nigerians are facing.

At the time, it is said the the proposal for temporary subsidy is firmly on the table now that the government has realized the realistic consumption rate for petrol in the country following the removal of subsidy.

This is coming in after the Nigeria National Petrol Corporation limited NNPC, has released an official statement to address reports that the corporation plans to increase petrol pump price to N712. 

In the statement, the corporation said there attention was drawn to rumors that that he cost of Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol, would rise to between N680/litre and N720/litre in the coming weeks.

They dismissed the speculations in the statement published by the organization via its social media handles.
