In a powerful display of unity and demand for justice, hundreds of youths took to the streets of Akure, the capital of Ondo State, to protest the untimely death of Nigerian artist Promise Oladimeji Aloba, widely known as MohBad-Imole.

Dressed in somber black attire, the concerned youths and fans of the late artist passionately voiced their concerns and called for answers regarding the circumstances surrounding MohBad’s passing.

The protest began at the well-known NEPA roundabout and proceeded through the Oba Adesida road-Cathedral intersection, culminating in a march along the Arakale route. As the demonstration progressed through the city, it gained momentum, drawing more participants who shared the desire for justice. In addition to their physical presence, the protesters leveraged various social media platforms to amplify their message, using hashtags like #JusticeForMohBad.

MohBad, a rising star in the Nigerian music industry, tragically lost his life shortly after a performance in Ikorodu. His sudden death sent shockwaves across the nation, leaving fans and fellow artists devastated. Suspicion surrounding the circumstances of his demise spurred the call for answers and justice.

One of the protesters, Yemi Afolabi, spoke of MohBad’s promising talent and the potential that was extinguished prematurely. He emphasized that MohBad’s music resonated deeply with many, and his future held great promise. The protesters demanded a thorough investigation into his death, citing video evidence of bullying and harassment he allegedly endured.

The protesters called upon law enforcement agencies to expedite the investigation and ensure that those responsible for MohBad’s passing are held accountable. They stressed the importance of a transparent and impartial inquiry, free from any undue influence or attempts at cover-up. This demonstration serves as a poignant reminder of the power of collective action and the resilience of youth voices in the pursuit of justice.
