Real Madrid 3-1 Eibar : Zidane’s men keep pace with Barcelona with a winning return

Published

Real Madrid moved back to within two points of LaLiga leaders Barcelona with a resounding victory on Sunday night.

In their first match since the league resumed following the Covid-19 pandemic suspension, it took the home side just four minutes to open the scoring through Toni Kroos.

Sergio Ramos and Marcelo made it 3-0 before half-time.

Eibar pulled a goal back on the stroke of hour mark just when Pedro Biga’s strike squeezed past goal keeper Thibaut Courtois.

At first it looked like a scare, but the scoreline was enough to give the men in white a thumping victory on their return and send a shiver down the spine of the league leaders.

Barcelona, beware!
