In the said disclaimer she shared on her official Instagram page, Gumsu noted the following;

“I would like to draw the attention of the general pubic to the recent proliferation of political campaign material bearing my name and person on numerous social media platforms.

“I wish to categorically state that I am not presently involved in partisan politics at any level and I have not indicated interest in running for any political office; the Nigerian Senate or any other office as currently being suggested.

“I urge members of the public to disregard these suggestions as they hold no truth whatsoever.

“I would also like to use this medium to counsel the purveyors of this material to desist from peddling any political material using my name and person.

“While sounding this note of caution, let me also take the liberty to encourage us all to stay safe. #Staysafe
