Subsidy: “Stop Hoarding Fuel” – Sanwo Olu Warns Markters

Published

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State, claimed that some oil marketers are hoarding the product and putting the public through hardship as a result of President Bola Tinubu’s declaration about the elimination of oil subsidies.

The governor made this statement in a video that was posted on Tuesday to his Twitter account by his media assistant Jubril Aremu Gawat.

He stated:

“I think it is too early in the day for people to second guess our new president. This is a pronouncement it is unfair for some of our major marketers to want to begin to seize opportunities

“There is nothing that has changed in that pronouncement that could have caused the queues, but hey, I am sure the federal government that we have will be able to rise up and deal with it.

“I want to encourage everyone to be law-abiding, to go about their normal business “
