The River 6 Full Story, Plot Summary, Episodes, Casts, Teasers: “The River” is a captivating South African telenovela that centers around Khanyisa Diamond, the owner of a diamond mine. The storyline unfolds the extraordinary lengths she goes to safeguard her family and maintain her luxurious lifestyle.
Khanyisa, also known as Lindiwe, is married to Zweli Dikana, the provincial police commissioner. They are proud parents to Andile and Mbali Dikana, while Lindiwe also takes on the role of stepmother to Nomonde Dikana. The Dikana family resides in a magnificent mansion in Pretoria East, South Africa.
In the township of Refilwe, where Khanyisa Diamonds is situated, underprivileged residents, many employed at the mine, form the community. The Mokoena family, led by Malefu Mokoena, resides in Refilwe along with her children – Thuso, Dimpho, and the adopted Itumeleng. Malefu discovered Itumeleng as a baby near a river and adopted her, a secret closely guarded.
“The River” is a South African telenovela created by Phathu Makwarela and Gwydion Beynon, produced by Tshedza Pictures for M-Net, and airs on the 1Magic channel on DStv.
