Published

The Labour Party governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour has come under criticism after he posted his certificate with a different name without his yoruba name GBADEBO

Since he began his campaign, GRV has come under intense public scrutiny. He is running against the current governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as well as other contenders.

This time, the politician has come under fire for changing the names of things to fit his “selfish” ambitions.

They pointed out that when he was campaigning for a Senatorial seat in Lagos state in 2019, he used his Igbo name “Chinedu Rhodes-Vivour”, in a bid to seemingly appeal to the Igbo populace in the community.

For his governorship candidacy, he used his Yoruba name “Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour” because he wants to get the favour of Lagosians as a whole.

In a new development, following the skepticism that trailed his status as a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), he posted a photo of his certificate which carried the name “Partick Rhodes-Vivour” and it has caused a buzz online.

He captioned it,

“Dear Lagosians, in line with my desire to run a transparent and open government.

Here is my certificate from
@MIT

I will continue to be open and transparent, especially with my government and governance.

Vote LP , You can do it, We can do it.

Èkó E dìde!!

~ GRV.”
