Nigerian music sensation Wizkid, recently found himself at the center of a debate after an eagle-eyed fan noticed that the singer has upgraded his phone.

The frenzy began when a keen observer on Twitter noticed that Wizkid had replaced his previous phone – one that had a visibly broken back – with a brand new, sleek device.

The previous phone which Wizkid was previously seen using brewed controversy when fans noticed it in one of his photos.

Divided with opinions, some fans mocked him for being a nonchalant celebrity, a few others broke-shamed him while many others pointed out that it symbolized his authenticity.

This made the sudden switch to a sleek new device more noteworthy.
