Asari Dokubo, a well-known Niger Delta politician and former agitator, has declared that he will use all of his influence to help President Bola Tinubu’s administration succeed.

Dokubo revealed this to the media after a private meeting with the President on Friday at the State House in Abuja.

He addressed Tinubu as his father and pledged to put an end to oil theft in the oil-rich Niger Delta, adding

“It is just to come and say hello to my father, I have congratulated him before this time and to give him a word of support for what he has achieved so far.”

“I know that Nigeria has changed. Nigeria had turned 360 degrees in the positive direction.”

“I will do everything, I can stake everything to make ‘my father’ succeed. That is the promise I have given to myself and to him.”

“Oil theft will be stopped. There will be zero oil theft in the Niger Delta.”
