Chef Hilda Baci Gets Plot Of Land Worth N3.5m From Estate Firm In Akwa Ibom

Hilda Baci, a chef from Nigeria, won a plot of land worth N3.5 million from a real estate company for breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking period by an individual on Monday, May 15.

Gideon Ekanem, the managing director of the real estate company In-Motions Business Limited, revealed the donation yesterday in a tweet.

Ekanem disclosed that the land parcel is located in the Akwa Ibom State capital city of Uyo’s Wana Court Green Estate.

He also praised Hilda Baci for her tenacity and resolve in accomplishing the remarkable feat.

“Hilda Baci embodies the very essence of resilience within our society today. And we wholeheartedly join the entire nation and our fellow Akwa Ibomites in exuberantly celebrating her extraordinary achievement.

“In recognition of the remarkable feat in the cooking marathon, we are delighted to present Hilda Bassey with a free plot of land in Wana Court Estate, the first true green and smart estate in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital.

“May this well-deserved honor serve as a testament to your unwavering determination. The foundation of In-Motions Business Ltd. rests upon the pillars of diligence and perseverance, as we consistently align ourselves with these virtues”. The statement read.

Hilda, from Akwa Ibom State, broke the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time by an individual on Monday, May 15, after she smashed the previous record of 87 hours and 45 minutes set by Indian chef Lata Tondon in 2019.

After four days of cooking non-stop, Hilda set a new Guinness World Record of 100 hours for the longest cooking time by an individual.
