Chef Hilda Baci Supports Chef Dami In Her Attempt To Break Her Cooking Record

Published

Hilda Baci has endorsed Damilola ‘Dami’ Adeparusi, an Ekiti chef seeking to break her Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

In an effort to beat Baci’s record, Adeparusi started a 120-hour cooking marathon in Ekiti on Friday.

Baci earlier broke the 2019 record of 87 hours and more set by an Indian chef named Lata Tondon by cooking for 100 hours.

After the GWR stated they would evaluate Baci’s attempt prior to any official confirmation that a record had been set, Adeparusi made the choice to contest Baci’s attempt.

As of the time of this report, Adeparusi has reportedly cooked for over 64 hours.

There have been mixed reactions from Nigerians regarding her decision to challenge Baci’s unvetted attempt.

While some disapproved of the Ekiti chef’s move, others expressed their support for her cooking marathon.

In a tweet on Sunday, Baci said there is uniqueness in individual dreams.

She said Adeparusi’s attempt at setting a new record is a show of great courage.

Baci encouraged her to embrace the journey, learn from every experience, and continue inspiring others.

“The beauty of dreams is that they are unique to each individual,” Hilda Baci wrote.

“Dami, your boldness to take on a cooking challenge shows that passion knows no limits.”

“Embrace the journey, learn from every experience, and inspire others with your unwavering spirit.”
