Havertz and Werner lead Germany to a 2-0 victory against Israel with their first half goals

Kai Havertz scored a deft near-post header from a corner for Germany in their international friendly against Israel. This was Kai’s 9th goal for the national team in his 24th appearance.

Havertz missed a couple of really good chances before the goal. Just seconds before his goal, he was in a 1v1 situation with the keeper and couldn’t finish but the save led to the corner that Raum took and he converted.

Just before half-time, Timo Werner got in on the act to make it 2-0 for Germany as he side-footed a Gundogan free kick at the near post into the back of the net.
