Police arrest civilians working for bandit leader, Ado Buji

The Police in Katsina have apprehended civilians assisting a notorious bandit leader, Ado Buji. Public Relations Officer, Gambo Isah did not disclose their names in his statement.

One of them, 40 years old, was arrested in the Faskari Local Government Area of the state.

Isah said the suspect admitted to the crime and recalled how he was given N800,000 to buy essential needs for the bandits in their camp.

“He also confessed to running an errand for the bandits as well as collecting N200,000 from Buji, the bandits’ leader”, the Police noted.

Another 35-year-old man, a resident of Ruwan Godiya village in Faskari LGA, who introduced him to Buji, was traced and arrested.

Operatives also arrested a 32-year-old ex-convict for claiming to be an official of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS).

The man specialized in housebreaking and theft of motorcycles. Investigations are ongoing.
