Police Arrests Guard Who Allegedly Kills Both His Employee And The Woman Who Recommends Him
John Danjuma, a security guard, has been detained on suspicion of murdering both the person who recommended him for a job and his previous boss with a cutlass.
According to reports, Danjuma was previously detained and is currently on trial for allegedly taking $10,000 from the deceased, a charge he adamantly rejected.
Bail was granted, and the matter was continued until a later hearing date. After being freed, he broke into the house of Boma Amaomu-Jumbo, a former director of administration at UPTH, and murdered her.
After committing the crime, he stole some of her jewelry and tried to flee. However, he was caught when neighbors noticed bloodstains all over his body while he was leaving the building and raised alarm.
He was then accosted and interrogated by policemen at the State Criminal and Investigation Department in Port Harcourt, where he confessed to killing the woman because she ‘falsely’ accused him of stealing her money.
“Me and she are having issues and this woman is prosecuting me in court and our case is coming up next tomorrow. They accuse me of stealing $10, 000. But I did not steal the money,” he said.
In a new update, an in-law of the deceased, Dolapo Tella Attoni, has alleged that the security guard also killed the woman who recommended him for employment.
Dolapo, a legal practitioner, in a post shared on Facebook, wrote,
“I left a murder scene at about 11pm yesterday for the mortuary. Yesterday, an in-law of mine was murdered by her former security guard who was already standing trial in respect of theft of her properties including cash,” Attoni wrote.
“She was to testify against him in court this morning. Soon after he was granted bail by the Rivers state Magistrate Court hearing the case , he began to plot her elimination.
“So yesterday, he gained access to her resident situate at G.RA by scaling the fence and squeezing through the guest room toilet of the house to strike. Armed with a sharp machete, he launched a surprise attack striking her neck and head severally.
“Earlier same day, the same suspect killed the lady that recommended him to to her ( deceased victim) for employment.
“Unfortunately for him , he was caught this time around while trying to escape with items stolen from the resident and the blood of the victim all over his body.
“Having been caught at the scene, he has since confessed to committing both murders. He is presently held at SCID, PH. Suspect is from Nasarawa State.”
