Presidential Debate: Peter Obi became enraged and attacked Melaye (Video)

Published

At the presidential town hall meeting hosted by Arise TV on Sunday, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s nominee for president, took on Dino Melaye, the spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential campaign management committee, on Saturday night.

The controversy began when Dino Melaye called one of the meeting attendees “Obi people.”

Dino was heard shouting “Na wa o, Obi people” when a participant got up to ask a question of the presidential contenders.

Dino’s comments prompted Peter Obi to yell at the PDP official.

On hearing the words of Dino, Peter Obi snapped at the PDP official.

Peter Obi spoke harshly from his seat, saying: “Stop that Dino. Why are you always calling me? I won’t take that. This man is from ANPP. Why are you calling him Obi people?”

Dino feigned ignorance but Peter Obi insisted that he will not condone such behavior.
